Auntie Ju Ju

This 4th of July weekend J.R.'s Auntie Ju Ju came to visit. J.R. was happy to have "new blood" in the house. He followed her everywhere. They enjoyed the swimming pool and going out to eat together. Here's a picture of them at Yard House, one of J.R.'s favorite spots. He kept hiding under the table from the BEAR! He was really sad when she went home. He keeps asking for her and saying he wants to go to Iowa to stay with his Auntie Ju Ju!

Last night J.R. did NOT like the fireworks. All our neighbors were outside setting off their own fireworks. Earlier in the day J.R. played with snaps, those things you throw to the ground and they make a popping sound. He really liked those but once the bigger fireworks went off he was not too happy. He ran to me, said he was scared and tried to claw his way into my chest. Then he asked for his daddy. He kept yelling he wanted to go home and he wanted to get out of there! He wanted to go inside. J.R. was fine once he went inside. He didn't even want to go out on our master balcony to watch the "far away" fire works.

This morning I asked J.R. if he liked the fireworks. He said, "no, maybe next year when I'm a big boy. I'll be a big boy and go to work like you mommy."
