Busy weekend!

This weekend we had lots of fun like normal. Saturday we went to the zoo with Sandi, Audrey and Kendra. The kids had so much fun. This wasn't a "normal" zoo, this was an exotic animal rescue that turned into a zoo. The two owners are married and both veterinarians. They had lots of animals walking around on their own and leashes, monkeys, turtles, pigs and lots of other animals I can not name! It was amazing, we saw a baby kangaroo in it's mama's pouch. J.R. and Audrey enjoyed every minute of it!

Today we started the day at the ice rink at 9am. It was stick and puck for 12 and under. J.R. and Tony were the only two on the ice for the first 30 minutes, then a little 4 year old boy came to play. It was so adorable, the 4 year old was mentoring J.R. The grandmother took a picture of the two and said, you never know they could end up playing on the same team one day! Could you imagine? By the way, J.R. no longer needs the "walker" to help him skate!

After hockey we went home grabbed some lunch and headed to a birthday party. It was crazy windy so we had to leave early. Today, we fit in a 3 hour nap. I had to wake J.R. up at 5pm so we could go to the Mini Grand Prix. J.R. rides with Tony in his car and he LOVES it. He kept saying I'm going bump you (in his car with Tony) and yes, they bumped everyone. Tony even got the whistle once because he was bumping..... J.R. loved it!

J.R. is so quick whited, his little mind is working overtime. He's such a mimic and wants to do everything he sees. He's crazy about gum right now. I can not chew gum around him because he wants some. He constantly wants to see it and eat it!

We are looking forward to a good week this week. Tony is heading to AZ to drive my grandpa to Iowa on Sunday. They should have a fun time driving across country.

Go J.R.!

Face off!
